Mindy Cohn stars as Violet in "Violet Tendencies"!

The "Facts of Life" star is a thrill to watch as the last of the faghags in this new comedy

Violet Tendencies (formerly Bye Bye, Fruit Fly) wrapped principal photography this month!

The film stars Mindy Cohn who played the lovable Natalie on the hit television series Facts of Life. The minute Mindy read this script, she said, "This character is me!"

Also starring is British-born hunk Markus Patrick. Markus was famously fired from his role on Days of Our Lives after posing nude for Playgirl. Since then, he hasn't stopped taking his clothes off! He now lends his talent and body for the role of the mysterious gorgeous go-go god, Zeus.

The full cast include a bunch of hot boys, a scene-stealing Kim Allen, Margret Echeverria, and gaylebrities such as: Jack Mackenroth, Hedda Lettuce, Michael Musto, Sophia Lamar, Fredrick Ford, Mike Diamond, and original Village People cowboy Randy Jones!

Violet Tendencies is currently being edited, and we look forward to a 2010 release.
We are seeking the final investors to bring us through post. Want to own a part of Violet Tendencies? $8,000.00 will buy you a 2% share in the film.

Embrem Entertainment announces it will produce "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly"

With a screenplay by Jesse Archer and directed by Casper Andreas,
"Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" is the free-standing follow-up to the  award-winning
comedies "Slutty Summer" and "A Four Letter Word."

(New York, NY - March 27, 2009)   Embrem Entertainment announced today it will produce the comedy "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly"  (working title). Spinning off several of the characters from the companies first two films "Slutty Summer" and "A Four Letter Word", "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" promises raunchy excess, unforgettable characters, and more heart than ever before.

Written by Jesse Archer, and to be directed by Casper Andreas, "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" will be the third collaboration between Archer and Andreas (both Out 100 honorees in 2008).  Having been hired to play the character Luke in Andreas first film "Slutty Summer," Archer teamed up with the director to write the script for that film's follow-up "A Four Letter Word," centered around the Luke character and directed by Andreas.

Luke and many of the other gay characters from the previous films are back in"Bye Bye, Fruit Fly", but the story centers around Audrey, the last of the fag hags, who endeavors to leave all her gay friends behind to find a man of her own.  In self-imposed exile, she discovers that you don't have to change the person you are to get what you want.

"I like putting outcasts at the center of the story and allowing them to work out their truth," says Archer in a statement. "And in the gay community there is no more lovable outcast that our tried and true fruit fly!"

"With humor and heartbreaking hysteria, Jesse's script tells the true meaning of family," says Andreas. "I can't wait to get started working on this wonderful story and to re-team with Jesse on yet another film."

Fund-raising for "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" has begun, and so far the producers have raised about half of the film's proposed budget of $200,000. Depending on financing and casting, the film is set to go into production as early as May 2009. Interested investors are welcome to read more about the project at www.embrem.com/fruit_fly_business_plan.pdf, and are encouraged to contact Casper Andreas, or the film's Executive Producer Mich Lyon at Embrem Entertaiment.

This is the second feature film being produced by Embrem in 2009. The company is also in development of the dramedy "Going Down in LA-LA Land," based on the book by the same name by Andy Zeffer, and also to be directed by Andreas. In additon, Embrem just announced that it has picked-up worldwide distribution rights to "The Big Gay Musical," a movie musical romantic comedy starring many Broadway actors and shot in New York in the fall of 2008. Over-seeing the post-production of "The Big Gay Musical," Embrem intends to premiere it at film festivals in the summer of 2009.

Embrem Entertainment Acquires Worldwide Rights to "THE BIG GAY MUSICAL"

(New York, NY - March 24, 2009) Embrem Entertainment announced today it has acquired worldwide distribution rights to "The Big Gay Musical," a movie musical romantic comedy starring many Broadway actors and shot in New York in the fall of 2008. The movie musical was co-directed by Casper Andreas and Fred M. Caruso. Embrem acquired the not-yet-edited film from Caruso, who is also the film's writer and producer. Embrem is providing finishing funds and will take the film through its post production stage, with the intent to premiere it at film festivals in the summer of 2009.

Andreas, President and CEO of Embrem Entertainment, is proud to assist in the completion of "The Big Gay Musical." Andreas, a multi award-winning writer and director, recently released his second feature "A Four Letter Word" on DVD. His third film "Between Love & Goodbye" is currently playing select US theaters, and is soon to be released on DVD by Embrem together with TLA Releasing.

"Though I initially was hired just to co-direct "The Big Gay Musical," I am thrilled to be taking on a producing role and assist in getting the film completed and distributed worldwide," says Andreas. "The film tells a very sweet and wonderful story about self-acceptance and being true to who you are. It has amazing song and dance numbers and a fantastic cast of Broadway actors, singers and dancers. I am very proud to be part of it and can't wait to bring it to audiences."

"This movie combines my love of both the theatre and film," says Caruso in a statement. "I am very excited that we now will be able to get it out to audiences everywhere." Caruso is releasing the soundtrack for "The Big Gay Musical" in the summer of 2009, and will also be in charge of the film's theatrical release in U.S. theaters.

"The Big Gay Musical" stars dozens of Broadway veterans, including Liz McCartney ("Taboo", "South Pacific"), Jim Newman ("Curtains", "Minnelli on Minnelli"), Joey Dudding ("A Chorus Line", "La Cage"), Marty Thomas ("Xanadu", "Wicked", "The Secret Garden"), Andre Ward ("Xanadu", "Saturday Night Fever"), Daniel Robinson ("Hairspray"), Jeff Metzler ("Mary Poppins"), Brian Spitulnik ("Chicago"), Josh Cruz ("Wig Out"), Celina Carvajal ("Tarzan" & Reality TV show "The Search of Elle Woods") and Steve Hayes, one of the stars of the film "Trick".

The acquisition deal for "The Big Gay Musical" was negotiated by Casper Andreas for Embrem and Fred M. Caruso for Big Gay Musical Productions, LLC.

"Between Love & Goodbye" had the fouth highest per-screen-average of all films playing in U.S. theaters this past weekend

(February 3, 2009 - New York, NY) Between Love & Goodbye pulled in an impressive $6,674  during its opening weekend on only one screen at New York's Clearview Cinemas Chelsea. With only one film in wide release, and two films in limited release with a higher per-screen-average, Between Love & Goodbye ranked fouth on the per-screen-average boxoffice chart.

Writer/director/producer Casper Andreas, who is also handling the film's distribution through his company Embrem Entertainment, is very happy with the film's opening. "There are a lot of wonderful movies playing in theaters at this time of year so we knew it would be tough to get audiences to find our little film," says Andreas. "I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who made it out and supported the film this past weekend. Thank you!"

Between Love & Goodbye's numbers are especailly impressive considering the film opened on a split screen. With multiple Academy Award-nominated movies performing extremely well at the Clearview, the theater gave Embrem Entertainment the option of opening the film on a split screen or have their release date pushed. "With all of our marketing efforts focused on a January 30th opening date, we just didn't feel moving to a different week would benefit us," explains Embrem's marketing director Adam Bentley, who also wants to thank the local gay press for its support of the film. "Without the marketing budget to buy expensive TV commericals or billboards, we have to rely on the power of the community and grassroots outreach, and we are most grateful towards everyone who has helped us get the word out about the film's opening."

With its limited engagement run at the Clearview ending this Thursday, Andreas would like to encourage everyone in New York who has yet to see the film to hurry out to do so. He and several of his cast members are planning to attend the 7.15PM screening Thursday evening for a  Q&A session. "We might even throw another party!" jests Andreas who with the support of V2 vodka hosted several events at XES Lounge in NYC in connection with the film's opening.

Between Love & Goodbye is set to open in Los Angeles on March 6th at the Sunset 5 Laemmle Theater. The film is also playing many festivals both around the country and internationally in the months to come. Screening information is continously being updated on the film's websitewww.lovegoodbye.com.

Between Love & Goodbye tells the story about Marcel (Justin Tensen) and Kyle (Simon Miller) and their passionate relationship. Set to an original soundtrack, Between Love & Goodbye is filled with unqualified romance, hilarious situations, and plenty of low down and dirty drama.

Some highlights from the film's many reviews:

'Between Love & Goodbye' effectively captures what brings two men together and eventually drags them apart. The cast is beautiful, the city of New York is a fitting backdrop and the underlying premise rings with honesty. David Graver, HX Magazine.

Andreas has made an absorbing film that should have audiences thinking about its characters and their turmoil long after the credits roll.  Gary M. Kramer, Gay City News.

If you want your drama juicy and your boys twinky, 'Between Love & Goodbye' delivers the delectable goods. Aaron Coleman, Next Magazine.
